Fallout 04:02
So get me in there Ever found the one you love Really love Now chase the shadows Cause they're the only thing you have You have Skies are broken Night and day its shapeless same Pale with rain Slate horizons This concrete life of yours will never ever be the same Lofty towers watch When the city sleeps Lightless corners in which Our desires creep Come home Come home Don't you ever Come home On lofty towers I watch While the ashes sweep Desolation makes My desires creep Come home Come home Don't you ever Come home Find you Find you Find you Find you Find me Find me

The Asylum 04:24
Motions Emotions Evolve in their straight lines They keep them In keeping They feed them all the time Motions Emotions Always to be fine They grow in Save keeping They feed them to be mine They love the asylum Come to the asylum Feed off the asylum Though they’ve got nothing to give They’re walking Their garden Their babies and their shine Don’t miss the rehearsal I will not give you mine Secure and obscure and Under lock and key You leave for the place when No one else can see They love Can see They love the asylum Come to the asylum Feed off the asylum No they’ve got nothing to give They love Come to Feed off No they’ve got nothing

Second Wave 05:42
The sphere is spinning For you to see You’re not winning Or giving in Take it off of me Get it right Cause this time it’s glowing Much to bright It shouldn’t be this way I’ve been asking myself In this circumstance What does this look like to you If not overdue Only five of us cared When the rest of us And the best of us What’s going on We’re going home Going home So I say I’ve been asking myself In this circumstance Would you do the same for me Cause it’s now long overdue Only five of us cared When the rest of us And the best of us What’s going on We’re going home Going home Going home Only five of us heard When the second wave Came crashing down Turning upside down And no one ran No one ran No one ran He's heard When the second wave Came crashing down Turning upside down Upside down Upside down No one ran When the second wave No one ran No one ran No one ran No one ran No one ran No one ran No one ran

Something 04:47
Look what the cat's dragged in Don’t tell you what I’ve seen Something’s dead behind the eyes Something's ill at ease On the mantelpiece A thing that I don’t recognise Can not hear my love Can not see my love Can not sleep my love Will it break in half Look what the cat's dragged in Don’t know how long it’s been Although it comes as no surprise Can’t tell you what I’ve seen Or if it’s watching me But we both know it can not kill Can not hear my love Can not see my love Can not sleep my love Will it break in half Can not hear my love Can not see my love Can not speak my love When will you break in half Can not hear my love Can not hear my love Can not see my love Can not sleep my love Will it break in half Can not hear my love Can not see my love Can not speak my love When will you break in half Can not hear my love Can not sleep you need the thrill Can not see my love So it’s all just happening Can not hear my love Can not speak you lost your will Can not see my love

One two Got you So we can run Under fake sun The flowers are gone Maybe they won Where’s our guns Hunting for the system error With my knife between my teeth Face down Ears shut Drowning out the terror Break out Combat Try not to run A mission we’re all terrified Genetic codes all verified Black shapes glowing turning white Radiating flashing lights Black-outs bright nights Sparks in the undergrowth Chewing metal back and forth Brides at war you and me both Hollow spaces caving in Familiar face so alien Cast out rejects The shame we’re in The defect stamped Onto the skin Innocence lost in the past The nightmare’s now caught up with us Jumping right into the blast Can’t wake up You are the host Please wake up Can’t wake up Empty shells and biomass Martial law for all of us Fighting for our every day Piece by piece taken away Empty shells and biomass Martial law for all of us Fighting for our every day Piece by piece breaking away Breaking away Breaking away As long as the cogs are turning We stand a chance And this machine keeps burning We stand a chance And we keep returning To make a stand From their mistakes are learning We stand a chance As long as the cogs are turning And this machine keeps burning And we keep returning Please wake up Can’t wake up Can’t wake up

Sand Drifts 05:12
This is Where they found them This is Where it ends This is How they found them But this ends here It was written in the sands They wouldn’t understand This is where they found them And this is where it ends This is Where they found them [They wouldn’t understand] This is Where it ends [They wouldn’t understand] This is How they found them [We couldn’t understand] But this ends here This is Where they found them This is Where it ends But this ends here

about

'Slate Horizon' is the collaborative album of 'Metalogue' [Robin Fencott - electronic musician, programmer and sound designer - metalogue.bandcamp.com ] and 'Fluff' or 'Fluffling' [Barbara Donner - musician, song writer, producer and vocalist].

The unique merge of both artist's styles results in a sonic fusion of industrial, ambient, indie-electronica, darkwave and cinematic, experimental sound design.

Influenced by events of the recent past, present and not so distant future, this seven piece release depicts a dark, powerful and bleak vision of a dystopian, post-apocalyptic nightmare.

Rather than telling a literal story, the album's intense, sometimes oppressive and sinister industrial sounds, combined with its eerie, ambient atmospheres, intricate textures and experimental cinematic sounds, create abstract, yet almost tangible imagery and associations, giving rise to deeper, almost primal feelings and emotions.
